I chose the dark brown, because I was worried the light brown would be too light brown, but was worried the dark would be really dark, but went with it anyway. The dark gisn't too light at all, but it still has a bluish tint so I'm glad I didn't go with the light because I think it would have been very light brown. I'm very happy with my purchase. Everything came as shown in 3 boxes, and was pretty easy to put together. It seems a little small, but I had a large couch and loveseat before so it may be I just need time to adjust, but I definitely wouldn't worry that'd it be too large.
